The Michelin Guide's review
With its flower-decked lanes, late-19C villas and views of the Pacific, this slightly bohemian neighbourhood is one of the most appealing in Lima. An air of nostalgia lingers here in this area that seems to channel both Montmartre and Valparaiso. Its pubs and nightclubs are a magnet for young locals at the weekend, when the dancing goes on until the early hours of the morning. But Barranco is also renowned for its art galleries, trendy shops, charming hotels and good restaurants.
