The Michelin Guide's review
Erected as a tribute to the popular lullaby (L'canchon dormoire, in dialect) written by Alexandre Desrousseaux in 1853, which tells the story of a lacemaker striving to get her baby to sleep. It is a replica of the original statue (made by Eugène Desplechin in 1902), which is on display at the town hall.
