The Michelin Guide's review
This museum occupies the Borg Nienoord, rebuilt in 1887 and situated in a huge park surrounded by moats. It is now home to the largest collection of carriages in the world (goat carts, carriages belonging to royal children, sleighs etc). In season, characters dressed in the costumes of the period add to the ambience of its public rooms. The collection also features paintings and travel accessories. In its grounds, near the lodge decorated with shells, a modern building houses a collection of stagecoaches.
