The Michelin Guide's review
The church on the pretty Plaza del Rector Merina, Santa María de la Oliva, dates back to the 13C. Inside, various styles can be seen: Mudéjar on the horseshoe arches separating the main nave from the collaterals; Gothic in the openings to the chapels; Renaissance in the transept and apse; and Baroque in the bell tower. The church contains a stunning grand retable by Alonso Cano.
