The Michelin Guide's review
A landmark in the city and a masterpiece by Auguste Perret, the Le Havre church of St-Joseph, which resembles a cathedral, is the result of collaboration between the architect and Marguerite Huré. The latter stained-glass artist dreamt up the partition of the natural light by incorporating some 12,700 coloured glass panes into the façade and the 107m/351ft-high bell tower. The interior, depicted by a striking economy of means, is grandiose.
