Habitation Clément
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Habitation Clément is an exceptional estate that will delight aficionados of the "Route du Rhum". The property, which hosted the meeting between George Bush and François Mitterand in 1991, has retained its character. It is a characteristic Creole mansion built out of wapa wood, and features 18C furniture and an old kitchen built away from the main house to avoid fire risks. As you stroll through the lovely parkland, you will see works of art dotted among the trees, of which there are 300 different species.
