The Michelin Guide's review
The River Vésubie rises in the Alpes Niçoises and becomes one of the most beautiful valleys in the hinterland behind Nice. Its lower course from Plan-du-Var has hewn a steep gorge prior to its joining the River Var. The Mediterranean landscape between St-Jean-la-Rivière and Lantosque has terracing, vineyards and olive groves. The alpine upper valley is good for walks, like the one starting from the viewpoint at the cascade de l'Estrech.
