The Michelin Guide's review
Colorfully re-created and restored buildings, including a farmstead dating from 1790, are dotted along the banks of Bayou Vermilion at this museum devoted to commemorating the Acadian way of life (c. 1765-1890). In each house, you will see actors in period costumes demonstrating traditional crafts such as weaving, boat-building and blacksmithing.
