This well-conceived visitor centre provides an excellent introduction to the Cajun Country and its culture. A series of displays focuses on various aspects of Cajun life in Louisiana, highlighting the ways in which Acadian traditions, farming and building techniques, clothing, language, crafts and music were adapted to living conditions on the new continent. A 25min video presentation, The Cajun Way, Echoes of Acadiana, retraces the history of Acadiana and its inhabitants.
