The Michelin Guide's review
This grey-walled castle with stone-roofed towers and a turreted keep is surrounded by a moat. It was built in the 12C to defend Ghent and altered in the 17C. The interior is decorated in 17C style, with Antwerp and French furnishings and walls hung with tapestries; two of these tapestries were made in Brussels in the 16C following designs by B. van Orley and belong to the series of Maximilian's hunts. Also of interest is the collection of silverware (15C-18C) from various European countries, a donation by Claude D'Allemagne.
