The Michelin Guide's review
Don't be fooled by the fact that Piton La Digue, the highest point on the island, is only 333 m above sea level. Its slopes are steep - so steep in fact that you can only hike up, and during the coolest hours of the day to make it easier on yourself. From the top of Nid d'Aigles mountain there is a superb view over the coast and neighbouring islands to the East and West.
