Nunobiki waterfalls

The Michelin Guide's review
These 43m-/141-foot high falls are made up of a set of four waterfalls. The contrast between the ultra-modern Shinkansen railway station of Shin-Kobe and the path behind through the forest is striking. The natural beauty of the spot and refreshing temperature in summer have inspired many of Japan's writers and poets, as the stone markers along the path bear witness. After a 45min climb up a well-maintained staircase, you will be treated to a wonderful view of the sea and the city of Kobe.
