The Michelin Guide's review
It dates back to the Middle Ages but was refurbished in the 16C. Today, this castle is the seat of the St-Etienne brotherhood which controls the quality of the Alsace wines. A Vineyard and Wines of Alsace Museum assembled on three floors holds a very important wine library. The collections include a monumental old press and a number of instruments which have today become rare, like this strange vine plant remover.
