The Michelin Guide's review
Jekyll Island Historic District bears witness to a well-to-do presence on the island from the 19C. Start your visit at the Jekyll Island Museum then continue on foot or take one of the guided tram tours to two historic cottages. The Queen Anne-style Jekyll Island Club, with its signature turret, and the former cottages have been turned into a resort hotel. The shops occupy historic buildings and the power plant is home to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center.
