Chiesa di San Francesco
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The church is one of Sardinia's most important buildings in the Catalan Gothic style. The edifice, which dates back to the 15C, has retained its original stylistic features despite being remodelled several times. Behind the austere façade, the decoration has a variety of shapes and motifs; the arch of the sanctuary, for example, is embellished with scenes from the life of St Francis of Assisi, to whom the 16C polyptych is also dedicated.
