The Michelin Guide's review
Above the village of Houx, the ruins of the Château de Poilvache can be seen, now overrun by vegetation. This 10C fortress, said to have been built by the four Aymon brothers, was first called Château d'Emeraude but renamed Poilvache ("Cowhide") in the 14C, as the result of a war-time ruse: the people of Dinant had besieged it, then managed to get inside by covering themselves with animal skins and hiding amid their herds. The fortress was destroyed in 1430. Further on are the ruins of Géronsart's tower.
