The Michelin Guide's review
Standing in the middle of a verdant garden, the Giac Lam pagoda rises majestically above the skyline of Ho Chi Minh City. Within the confines of the temple, visitors can view a cemetery, a 7-storey tower and two impressive statues. Inside the pagoda itself, the sumptuous decor includes an incredible number of wood sculptures. A perfect representation of Vietnamese art, both in terms of its architecture and ornamentation, the pagoda, dating from the 18C, is one of the oldest and without doubt the most remarkable in the city.
