The Michelin Guide's review
Hiddensee forms part of the West Pomerania National Park. It is a delightful corner of paradise with tracks and cycle paths, and villages, such as Grieben, with thatched cottages, or fishermen's houses, such as Neuendorf. The highest point of the island is the Dornbusch (72m), home to the main lighthouse. Kloster, huddled around the church, and Vitte, the island's administrative centre, are worth seeing.
