Güímar Valley

The Michelin Guide's review
The slopes of the Güímar rift valley are mainly cultivated in terraces (prickly pear, avocado, papaya trees and vines). The little Güimar volcano rises between the town and sea. Disfigured by industrialisation and quarries, the valley is far from showing the same exuberance of plantlife found on the island's northern slopes.
