The Michelin Guide's review
This south-facing Gothic structure from the 15 C has a heavily decorated sandstone facade flanked by turrets and topped by a gable with a balcony. The steps in front of it (1603) are in the style of the Renaissance. The carillon is located on the east side: every half hour, its small figures replay the scene in which the city of Gouda receives its rights (1272) from Count Floris V of Holland.
