In Osiris's town of Abydos, the temples of Seti I and his son Rameses II stand a few hundred metres away from each other. It was in the Rameses II's Cenotaph Temple, smaller and less well preserved than his father's temple, that archaeologists discovered the famous Abydos King List, now at the British Museum. It is decorated with fine sculpture, and a few traces of polychromy remain (including a procession scene with a large group of soldiers).
