The Michelin Guide's review
When Eisenhower became the 34th president of the US in 1953, the Pennsylvania farm served as a second White House, where he and Mamie entertained such dignitaries as Nikita Khrushchev and Charles de Gaulle. After two terms as president, Eisenhower retired here until he died at the age of 78. Mamie lived at the farm until her death ten years later. Self-guided tours lead visitors through the home, which is decorated exactly as it was during the Eisenhowers' tenure here.
