The Michelin Guide's review
These lush botanical gardens were created as of 1956 by Lady Susana Walton, wife of the English composer Sir William Walton (1902-83), with the collaboration of the landscape gardener Russel Page. With over 3 000 species of rare plants, they offer a voyage around the world, with majestic views over the sea thrown in for good measure. A panoramic "Greek theatre" hosts a prestigious season of concerts. Music lovers, take note!
