The Michelin Guide's review
The restoration of this palace, built in the 10C and then modified during the reign of Béla III, has revealed some interesting architectural features, among which is a vaulted room, considered to be the oldest dwelling place in Hungary. Also of interest are the double chamber, also known as the chamber of virtues (15C), decorated with frescoes and a vault adorned with signs of the zodiac. The royal chapel, early Gothic in style, boasts superbly carved capitals.
