Bonne Esperance Abbey
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This former Premonstratensian abbey, now a secondary school, was built in 1126. A majestic 18C façade overlooks the cour d'honneur. Note the abbey church's 15C Gothic tower on the right. The cloisters, altered in the 18C, have retained their Gothic vaulting. The decoration in the chapter house and 18C refectory is also outstanding. The church (18C) was built in the neo-Classical style.
