The Michelin Guide's review
The fortified church dedicated to the Vergine Assunta was built in the 14C at the foot of a watchtower that would later become its bell tower. The pronaos, added a century later, accentuated the sanctuary's majesty and Gothic identity. Unfortunately, it hides the delicate rose window on the façade; it is only visible from the first storey of the neighbouring Torre di Re Federico. The interior of the church was extensively restored in the 19C. The altar is decorated with a fine Renaissance-style marble reredos.
