The Michelin Guide's review
The name of this new district is a reference to the distance, a quarter of a mile, that separates it from the castle. It grew up on the site of the Royal Infirmary, following a project by English architect, Norman Foster, who restored listed Victorian buildings and added some minimalist modern edifices. Quarter Mile, overlooking Meadows Park, is today depicted by a mixture of luxury apartment buildings, offices, hotels, leisure facilities, shops, cafés and restaurants.
