The Michelin Guide's review
Dublin's most popular park is packed with local workers and school children who come here to picnic in fine weather. Its current aspect dates from the late 19C, when the brewer Arthur Guinness turned what was private land, open only to residents, into a public park. The grounds sport an artificial water feature, fountains, statues of James Joyce, Jack B Yeats and other celebrities, together with a garden for the blind, where the names of the plants are inscribed on plaques in Braille.
