Description
Founded in 1095 by the Danes, the church was later rebuilt. The current grey stone building dates from 1686. Handel is said to have composed his famous Messiah on the church organ. The crypt contains some exceptional mummified bodies, which were conserved by the very dry air and constant temperature.
