The former Irish Houses of Parliament was bought by the Bank of Ireland. The counters are in the former House of Commons, whose ceiling is adorned with lion's heads; the former House of Lords has remained pretty well intact with its beautiful coffered ceiling and 17C tapestries. In 2019, the bank inaugurated a Cultural and Historic Centre on Westmoreland Street.
