The Michelin Guide's review
Queen Emma's former palace displays the works of graphic artist Maurits Cornelius Escher (1898-1972). Here, Escher creates a "dream world" featuring all kinds of impossible constructions and inverted perspectives, and interactive consoles allow visitors to immerse themselves in the artist's virtual world. The museum also exhibits 150 lithographs and prints, including the famous Metamorphoses. The second floor, which is more playful in feel, offers visitors the chance to experiment with the artist's optical illusions and to question its mysteries.
