The Michelin Guide's review
The Museo histórico regional covers the evolution of Cuzco since prehistoric times up until the Vice-kingdom, including pre-Incan and Incan periods. Even more interesting is the art by the Cuzco School displayed in the upstairs galleries: Diego Quispe Tito's prodigal son series, dark, sombre canvases by Juan Espinoza de Los Monteros and the indigenous Baroque style of Marcos Zapata.
