Plage aux ptérosaures of Crayssac
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
You will walk through an old quarry, which is known for its evidence of prehistoric animals, especially flying reptiles. These landed on the beach 150 million years ago and their footprints were never erased by the tides. Since then, the sediment and mud have solidified into limestone. Fossilised, the prints appear in the low light of the spotlights. New ones are discovered regularly.
