Upon leaving Mount Bel-Air, the ascent towards Merlet Lakes is not to be missed, particularly the magical setting at the foot of the Aiguille du Fruit. Go up to the Higher Lake, the deepest lake in the Vanoise (30m) and skirt its right bank to the end.
