The Michelin Guide's review
Built in 1537 by a hatter of Besancon, the Pfister house is actually named after its 19C owners. Although today closed to the public because it houses offices, you can admire the stunning painted façade, its glazed corner oriel window and its delicately sculpted gallery, supported by finely worked corbels. It is a true jewel of Alsace architecture.
