Description
The Baroque church of this vast convent accommodates the 17C silver tomb of Queen Isabella; you will notice a wooden statue of her, carved by Teixeira Lopes. In the lower chancel is the queen's early tomb, which was made of painted Ança stone in the 14C, during her lifetime. You will notice her recumbent statue, dressed as a nun of the Order of St Clare and with open eyes.
