Chicago Building
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Plain, solid and with a brown façade, the Chicago Building (1904, Holabird & Roche) is the very definition of the first skyscrapers, which were divided like a column between the base, the shaft and the capital. In 1997, the offices were converted into a residence for students of the nearby School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
