Situated some 10km northwest of Cascais, this beach is very popular with windsurfers, surfers and kitesurfers because of its powerful waves and steady winds. These qualities also makes it a great host of the Portuguese National Windsurfing Championship. Considered to be the most beautiful and wildest beach on the Riviera, it is bordered by large dunes and overlooked by a fort, while on the horizon lies the imposing Cabo da Roca.
