The Michelin Guide's review
Reach the old town via the Seville Gate, with a double horseshoe arch, one of the rare remains of the old fortress in the old town. Remains of the tall city walls built by the Carthaginians then reinforced by the Romans cross the old town. One of the most spectacular elements is the Cordoba Gate, where you will see the two wide Roman octagonal towers and the gate added in the 17C.
