The Michelin Guide's review
A strategic point for all those who visit Budapest: all the metro lines stop here, as well as the bus lines and tramways. The square bears the name of Ferenc Deák (1803-1876), a lawyer, moderate politician, Minister of Justice in 1848,who participated in the compromise of 1867 making Austria and Hungary two associated States. The Lutheran temple is recognisable through its Neo-classical façade. Quite nearby, Erzsébet tér with its small park and its coach station.
