Description

This square laid out in front of the main entrance to the castle is lined by two buildings on the right-hand side: the neo-Classical Sándor Palace (Sándor Palota), former residence of the Prime Minister, and the Castle Theatre (Várszínház). With a Rococo façade, it was once a Carmelite Order convent, dissolved in 1782 and modified.
