The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
With undulating scenery surrounding a lake, this green oasis cuts into the capital as far as the southern end of avenue Louise. The English-style park (1860) is popular with joggers, and the lawns are handy for picnics. Bordered to the east by the smart avenue F. Roosevelt, it opened in 1910 on the site of the Exposition Universelle and attracted wealthy residents who built sumptuous villas.
