The Michelin Guide's review
Groene Rei is a tree-lined bank (as its name suggests). At no. 8 stands the so-called House of the Pelican (De Pelikaan), which dates back to 1714. The building has high dormer windows and bears the emblem of the pelican, and was once an almshouse. From the end of the bank there is a fine view over the canal, belfry and high steeple of Notre Dame Church.
