The Michelin Guide's review
The museum is housed in the Britannia copper mine, which was one of the largest copper mines in the British Empire at the time. An audiovisual show retraces its history from its discovery in 1888 to its closure in 1974. A guided tour takes visitors into the mine's galleries and demonstrates the equipment and to a former refinery plant operated by gravity. The Mining House relates the history of the mining industry in British Columbia.
