The Michelin Guide's review
This mound was erected by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in 1826, on the spot where the Prince of Orange was wounded when he commanded the First Corps of Wellington's army. At the top of the mound (226 steps), there is a 28t cast-iron lion and a fine view of the battlefield, its crest lines and its steep incline. A viewpoint indicator points out the main strategic battle lines.
