The Michelin Guide's review
Two hundred buildings are spread over this 300ha/741-acre campus. Old Main (1877), the university's first structure, is a turreted brick Victorian building, but most of the other buildings are in pink sandstone with red-tile roofs, the legacy of Charles Klauder's plan of 1917 which was inspired by the hill-top towns of Tuscany. The University of Colorado Museum of Natural History and the Fiske Planetarium and Science Center are open to the public.
