The Pey Berland tower was built in the 15C and supports the statue of Our Lady of Aquitaine (installed in the 19C), but has always remained separate from Saint-André Cathedral. From the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city, that is if you can manage the 229 steps up the narrow staircase!
