The Michelin Guide's review
Built between 1618 and 1635, this property, typical of the James I period (early 17C), is noteworthy for its ceilings and splendid fireplaces. The large gallery, in particular, with its oak wood panelling, is embellished with some very fine tapestries. The main dining room is decorated with a frieze representing the nine worthies. The paintings are by Romney and Gainsborough.
