This museum houses the vast collection of German writer and painter Lothar-Günther Buchheim (Das Boot) in a remarkable building overlooking Lake Starnberg. German Expressionism is well represented (Die Brücke painters, such as Kirchner, Heckel, Pechstein and Schmidt-Rottluff).
