The Michelin Guide's review
In the middle of Breitscheidplatz is the church dubbed the "Hollow Tooth" (Hohler Zahn) by locals. The truncated bell tower is all that remains of the neo-Romanesque church, built between 1891 and 1895 by Franz Schwechten and dedicated to Emperor William I. The new church and bell tower (1959-61) were designed by Egon Eiermann; with the original church they form one of the emblems of Berlin. The blue stained-glass windows inside the church were made in Chartres.
